📖 **Elmer the Patchwork Elephant 🐘🌈**

Get ready for the most colourful day of the year! Elmer Day is back on 24th May with hundreds of events happening in schools, nurseries, libraries and bookshops around the country, and all over the world!

Elmer remains one of the most iconic and widely read children’s book series of all time, selling over 10 million copies worldwide since it was first published by Andersen Press in 1989. Written and illustrated by celebrated children’s author and artist David McKee, the Elmer books have been translated into more than 50 languages and it’s subtle message – that it is OK to be different – has made this first tale about everyone’s favourite patchwork elephant a classic must-read for every bookshelf.

💬 **Need to know info about the event:**

〰 Suitable for children of aged 3+ with younger children perhaps needing a little help from one of their responsible adults.

〰 Event duration: 30 – 45 minutes

〰 Ticket price: £5 per child (includes a FREE paperback copy of ‘Elmer’ 30th Anniversary Edition, normally RRP £7.99 + Elmer gift)) + booking is essential

〰 Additional information: children will sit at a child’s play table & chairs or be stood around a crafting table, and will be provided with equipment including washable colouring pencils/crayons/pens depending on their age and ability. There are a couple of seats for adults who wish to attend with their children, otherwise adults will be expected to stand and watch (and join in if they like), or enjoy a lovely coffee and pastry downstairs in STAPLE.
