Celebrate Elmer Day 2022

Elmer Day returns on 28th May 2022. This year’s Elmer Day is very special as we are not only celebrating the themes of inclusivity and friendship that run throughout the Elmer books, we are also honouring the life and legacy of Elmer’s creator David McKee. His was a singular voice and a shining light in children’s books, whose creations, including Elmer, Mr Benn and Not Now, Bernard, touch the lives of many generations of children around the world.

The pack contains lots of activities and ideas for crafts, lessons and story times featuring Elmer, with new resources from charity partners The Sleep Charity, with sleep hints and tips inspired by the latest Elmer book Elmer and the Bedtime Story, activities from LGBT+ charity Just Like Us and resources from anti-bullying charity partner Kidscape.
