David McKee Named Illustrator of the Year at British Book Awards

David McKee, creator of Elmer and many other beloved children’s characters and books has been named Illustrator of the Year at the 2020 British Book Awards The award honours David McKee’s incredible career in which he has written and illustrated over 50 picture books and created a number of children’s classics including King Rollo, Mr Benn, Not Now, Bernard and of course, Elmer the Patchwork Elephant.
